Press Release January 14, 2014
BSTC, NGCP and ERC successfully
holds clarificatory conference
Bukidnon Sub Transmission Corporation (BSTC), a consortium of First Bukidnon Electric Cooperative, Inc. (FIBECO) and Bukidnon Second Electric Cooperative, Inc. (BUSECO) held clarificatory conference with National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) and Energy Regulatory Commission on January 7, 2014 at 15th Floor, Pacific Center Building, San Miguel Avenue, Pasig City.
The said clarificatory conference aims to clarify the issuance of NGCP a Certification on Adequate Capacity to BSTC. ERC wished to ensure that NGCP can really accommodate the load of BSTC in cases of load transfer as proposed by the corporation on its Capital Expenditure Projects to ensure power reliability within its franchise.
NGCP reconfirmed their stance that they can really accommodate the load of BSTC and in fact their capacity is sufficient enough in comparison with the total demand requirement of FIBECO and BUSECO.
The reconfirmation of NGCP is a key step for ERC to approve the BSTC’s application for Capital Expenditure Projects, Certificate of Franchise and Public Necessity as well as its application for Lease Purchase Agreements.
With this development, Bukidnon will soon have a reliable sub transmission system. With the approval of BSTC’s Capital Expenditure projects and implementation of load transfer in cases of outages of one of NGCP’s substation, FIBECO and BUSECO’s distribution system will not be interrupted.
With less if not none occurrence of power interruption, the development of the province of Bukidnon will continue speedily to the advantage of the people.
Onwards BSTC! Onwards Bukidnon!
