BUSECO conducts Synchronized Barangay Line Clearing
in the District of Baungon
As a pro-people cooperative, Bukidnon Second Electric Cooperative, Inc. (BUSECO) believes that participation from masses is of huge importance. With this, BUSECO aims to involve the Member Consumer Owners (MCOs) in the operation of the cooperative for them to understand, internalize and support the movement. Further, with the involvement, MCOs will be able to feel the true essence of cooperativism and will help protect BUSECO as the cooperative soar higher in realizing its dream of becoming a World Class Organization in the near future.
BUSECO successfully conducted its Synchronized Barangay Line Clearing Program for the Barangays in the District of Baungon, Bukidnon on March 29, 2015. The activity started at 6:00 in the morning and ends at exactly 3:30 in the afternoon. A total of Two Thousand Six Hundred Thirty Nine (2,639) number of trees were trimmed down out of targeted One Thousand Eight Hundred Ninety Eight (1,898) with the nine hours and 30 minutes activity. Thus, Seven Hundred Forty One (741) were trimmed above the target and with efficiency ratio of 13.96 trees per tree climbers. With this activity also, 189 line clearers were employed by BUSECO from the community.
It is worthy to note that the objectives of line clearing activity are: 1. To reduce system loss through reduction of unscheduled power interruption; 2. To fulfill agreement during Annual general Membership Assembly (AGMA) of which to download barangay line clearing to the barangay; and 3. To promote continuous MCOs/community involvement in BUSECO’s activities.
BUSECO truly appreciates the presence and cooperation of all Barangay Captains and BMCEC in their respective barangays and deep understanding and patience of the MCOs which really contributed to the success of the activity. Also commend the efforts and dedication of BUSECO partners and associates specifically from Engineering and Technical Services (ETSD) and Branch Operation Management Department (BOMD). Likewise laud the commitment of all partners and associates that in any way help the success of the activity.
It is worthy to note that the SBLC is beneficial to both the cooperative and the MCOs. With the line clearing, power quality and reliability were significantly improved.
BUSECO hopes that this activity will continue with the upcoming years and strengthened further the partnership of the cooperative and the respective districts/barangays. BUSECO is confident that this kind of partnership will lead BUSECO to its ultimate dream of becoming a World Class Organization.
Onwards and soar high BUSECO!
