The Bukidnon Second Electric Cooperative, Inc. (BUSECO) values considerably its intellectual capital. The cooperative believes that one of the dynamics of BUSECO’s success and accomplishments is owed from one of its three pillars, the Management and Staff which comprises of its employees. BUSECO recognized that with the love and hard work of its workforces, the cooperative was able to attain and sustain its status as a Triple A Electric Cooperative despite the challenges in the power industry.
To show its genuine recognition, BUSECO joined Labor Day celebration with the theme: ” Disenteng Trabaho at Kabuhayan, alay natin sa Bayan”, on May 1, 2015 at Mangima, Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon.
A short program was expedited by the BUSECO Employee Labor Union (BELU) Officers. It was formally opened by General Manager Deiter Hoff P. Arellano, CPA, MBA. Director Charlie Castillanes, Director Gloria Ranile, Director Alex Payangga and Director Dioscora Ngoho subsequently shared inspiring messages to employees emphasizing the importance of the intellectual capital as well as the celebration. BELU Chairman Alain Radaza and BELU President Frederick Agbay also expounded the essence of the labor day.
Guest Speaker Mr. Karlviencent Yngojo, former Regional Coordinator of the Labor Education and Research Network, Inc. and Trade Union Organizer/Educator of the Alliance of Progressive Labor and now DILG-Local Government Academy Consultant, encouraged the employee of the cooperative to safeguard their rights and support its labor union.
To further strengthen the unity and solidarity of the Partners and Associates, team building activities explicitly Amazing Race, Paint me a Picture and Pool Games were conducted in the afternoon.
This simply reveals the earnestness of the cooperative in ensuring that the welfare of its workforce is promoted. BUSECO believes that by continuously doing the same undertakings, solidarity among its partners and associates will be upheld which such is very important with the cooperative’s dream of becoming a World Class Organization.
