BUSECO successfully conducts
2014 Strategic Planning Conference
With the strong desire to provide efficient services to its Member-Consumer-Owners (MCOs) along with the endeavor of operating the cooperative effectively for the year 2014, the BUSECO’s management committee together with the Board of Directors conducted the 2014 Strategic Planning Conference at Marco Hotel, Cagayan de Oro City on January 2-4, 2014.
The 2014 Strategic Planning Conference was spearheaded by no less than General Manager Deiter Hoff P. Arellano,CPA,MBA. During the activity, GM Arellano presented the cooperative’s Vision, Mission, 5 year Development Plan, BUSECO Management System, the should be direction of BUSECO, the Three pillars of BUSECO as an organization, the 10 Flagship Programs, the 7 corporate culture, and the 7 corporate culture avenues. He elaborated each topic to refresh the seasoned member of the committee and for the appreciation and internalization of the new ones.
GM Arellano emphasized that all plans and actions must gear towards the ultimate purpose of which to satisfy the MCOs as postulated in BUSECO’s vision of being a reliable, viable, and efficient electric distribution utilities operated and managed by competent, honest and responsive human resources towards satisfied consumers.
He also highlighted that the only mission left unfulfilled is mission number four (4) of which to make BUSECO a World Class Organization. Hence, the new management’s drive is to direct the cooperative to achieve its dream of becoming a World Class Organization. Being WCO entails much efficient services to the benefits and satisfaction of its MCOs.
Having all the necessary inputs presented, he then introduced the Robert Kaplan’s Balance Scorecard for Corporate Governance. Each departments/divisions were then trained to formulate their own scorecards for year 2014 with corresponding measures/drivers. The respective departments/divisions managers then presented their output for information and reviewing of the body. The final output will be the road map for all departments/divisions for the year 2014.
With the activity, BUSECO is confident that the cooperative is properly guided, will be able to maintain its categorization for year 2014 and will be able to realize its dream of becoming a World Class Organization in the near future.
