BUSECO successfully holds BMCEC Meter Reading Refresher Course and Anti-Pilferage
One of the Flagship Program of BUSECO is Member Consumer Empowerment Program (MCEP). MCEP aims to empower its Member Consumer Owners (MCOs) through active involvement in cooperative’s operation. BUSECO believes that as one of the three pillars to wit: the Board of Directors, Management and Staff and MCOs, MCOs through their representatives must be involved operationally for them to fully understand the movement and support the cause. Hence, the cooperative downloaded some of its services such as meter reading, collection, Statement of Account (SOA) distribution and Notice of Disconnection (NOD) distribution.
With the downloading, the cooperative is also aware of its responsibility to educate them and refresh them regularly for them to be efficient and effective. On March 31, 2014, BUSECO successfully conducted the Barangay Member Consumer Electrification Council (BMCEC) Meter Reading Refresher Course, Anti-Pilferage Seminar and Meter Reading Accuracy Examination at the BUSECO RQIM Hall. This was participated by 102 BMCEC Meter Reader in Manolo Fortich Branch.
The primary objective of the cooperative for this activity is to ensure precision in the conduct of meter reading, to increase their awareness as to anti-pilferages, for them to be empowered and to strengthen the partnership between them and the cooperative.
The management commended the Branch Operation Management Department (BOMD) in Manolo Fortich with the leadership of Mr. Juancho T. Chiong together with Mr. Anatolio Penados, Jr., Meter Reading and Billing Section Head; Engr. Virgilio Namoc, Jr., Meter Shop Head; Ms. Roxanne Caterial, Paralegal; and Mr. Rey Flor Hisona for actively facilitated the seminar. BUSECO also commended the active participation of the BMCEC Meter readers, for their continued support and partnership with the cooperative.
With the activity, BUSECO’s MCOs will be ensured for more efficient and effective services which are relevant with the cooperative’s aspiration of becoming a World Class Organization.
