BUSECO participates on NEA’s simplified bidding seminar
As an electric cooperative and registered under P.D 269, BUSECO is under the supervision of National Electrification Administration (NEA). Hence, BUSECO has to adhere with all the guidelines and memorandum issued by the NEA in accordance with R.A 10531 or NEA Charter.
On March 6-7, 2014, NEA conducted Procurement Guidelines and Simplified Bidding Procedures for Electric Cooperatives Seminar. The seminar aims to equip the participants from various electric cooperatives in the Northern Mindanao proper knowledge as to the newly issued memorandum and guidelines of NEA. The seminar was facilitated by no less than NEA Director of Internal Audit Department, Dir. Veronica Cruz.

BUSECO is glad that NEA spearheaded such activity. With this, electric cooperatives are well guided. It is also worthy to note that as observed during the seminar, BUSECO implemented guidelines and practices on procurement as well as public bidding is almost the same with the newly introduced guidelines by NEA. Hence, BUSECO BAC is on the right track and already accustomed with the guidelines.
In view of the foregoing, BUSECO wishes to ensure its MCOs that the cooperative is exerting its best efforts in employing measures to ensure transparent, clean and good business bearing in mind the interests of its MCOs. Doing transactions systematically is also in line with the goal of BUSECO of becoming a World Class Organization in the near future.
