BUSECO conducts Synchronized Barangay Line Clearing

in the District of Lantapan

As a pro-people cooperative, Bukidnon Second Electric Cooperative, Inc. (BUSECO) believes that participation from masses is of huge importance. With this, BUSECO aims to involve the Member Consumer Owners (MCOs) in the operation of the cooperative for them to understand, internalize and support the movement.

BUSECO is glad that for the fourth times, the cooperative successfully conducted its Synchronized Barangay Line Clearing Program for the Barangays in the District of Lantapan, Bukidnon on April 5, 2014. The activity started at 8:00 in the morning and ends at exactly 5:12 in the afternoon. A total of Two Thousand Three Hundred Fifty Four (2,354) number of trees were trimmed down out of targeted One Thousand Six Hundred Seventeen (1,617) with the eight hour and 12 minutes activity. Thus, Seven Hundred Thirty Seven (737) were trimmed above the target and with efficiency ratio of 14.80 trees per tree climbers. With this activity also, 159 line clearers were employed by BUSECO from the community.

Further, during the said activity also BUSECO was able to replace two rotten poles of backbone line, installed midspan pole in our backbone line and relocated two poles structures of backbone due to road widening.

It is worthy to note that the objectives of line clearing activity are: 1. To reduce system loss through reduction of unscheduled power interruption; 2. To fulfill agreement during Annual general Membership Assembly (AGMA) of which to download barangay line clearing to the barangay; and 3. To promote continuous MCOs/community involvement in BUSECO’s activities.

BUSECO truly appreciates the presence and cooperation of all BMCEC in their respective barangays and deep understanding and patience of the MCOs which really contributed to the success of the activity. Also commend the efforts and dedication of Director Dioscora Ngoho, BUSECO partners and associates specifically from Engineering and Technical Services (ETSD) and Branch Operation Management Department (BOMD). Likewise laud the commitment of all partners and associates that in any way help the success of the activity.

The Synchronized Barangay Line Clearing in Lantapan entails that such activity is very possible with commitments and cooperation of all concerns. It must be noted that such is beneficial to both the cooperative and the MCOs. With the line clearing, power quality and reliability were significantly improved.

BUSECO hopes that this activity will continue with the upcoming years and strengthened further the partnership of the cooperative and the respective districts/barangays. BUSECO is confident that this kind of partnership will lead BUSECO to its ultimate dream of becoming a World Class Organization.

Onwards and Soar High BUSECO!
