NEA shows support to BUSECO’s R.E undertaking
One of Bukidnon Second Electric Cooperative, Inc. (BUSECO) Flagship Programs is the generation conceptualization, development and operation. This endeavor is all geared towards reasonable power rates, part ownership of the power generating plants, implementation of Renewable Energy and towards addressing the peaking requirement of the cooperative for the advantage of its Member-Consumer-Owners (MCOs).
On January 17, 2014, Mr. Wilfredo O. Bucsit, Office of the Renewable Energy Department (ORED) Manager of the National Electrification Administration (NEA) together with Mr. Ian Driscall of the World Bank and Mr. Peerke de Bakker, Asia Representative, IED visited BUSECO to discuss the feasibility of Upper Manupali River Mini-Hydro Project of which BUSECO, Mountain View College and Cititel Technologies are the proponents.
Having found the project feasible, Mr. Bucsit told the proponents that they are willing to offer assistance to the project, be it financial or technical aspects. However, since the project is a joint venture, the offer has to be evaluated further.
BUSECO truly appreciates the initiative of NEA. This entails support to the electric cooperative’s endeavor to promote the development of renewable energies to solve the recent power supply insufficiencies in Mindanao. With renewable energies, power rates would be much lesser to the welfare of the consuming public.
BUSECO wish to convey that the cooperative’s management together with the Board of Directors is crafting plans and programs for the sustainability of the cooperative and to the best interest of its MCOs. BUSECO is pacing firmer to balance all fronts towards it dream of becoming a World Class Organization (WCO).
Onwards and Soar High BUSECO!
