BUSECO successfully conducts 2015 Strategic Planning Conference

The Bukidnon Second Electric Cooperative, Inc. (BUSECO) strides harder to become a World Class Organization in the near future to deliver more reliable and efficient services to its Member Consumer Owners (MCOs) for its delight if not satisfaction. Hence, the cooperative recognizes the importance of proper planning to ensure that its vision of becoming a reliable, viable and efficient electric distribution utility operated and managed by competent, honest and responsive human resources towards satisfied consumers and its dream of becoming a World Class Organization will sooner be realized.

On January 5-8, 2015, the BUSECO Management Committee together with the Board of Directors represented by Director Charlie C. Castillanes, the BOD Vice President conducted its 2014 Evaluation and 2015 Strategic Planning at Duka Bay Resort, Medina, Misamis Oriental.

The 2014 Evaluation and 2015 Strategic Planning Conference was spearheaded by no less than General Manager Deiter Hoff P. Arellano, CPA, MBA. During the activity, GM Arellano reminded the participants of the cooperative’s vision as well as last unfulfilled mission or direction of which to make BUSECO a World Class Organization. He then reviewed the culture of transparency and trust which were practiced for year 2013 and 2014 respectively and stressed the culture of accountability for the year 2015. He emphasized the importance of said cultures as BUSECO endeavors to get hold of the ISO Certification for the incoming years.

Accomplishments for year 2014 using Balance Scorecards were then presented by all departments and divisions to make known the real status of the cooperative. Current Reality Dialogue was then carried out to highlight the major accomplishments of the cooperative.

Having known the status of the cooperative as presented and as evaluated based on National Electrification Administration (NEA) Key Performance Standards (KPS), GM Arellano then highlighted the importance of the Robert Kaplan’s Balance Scorecard for Corporate Governance and introduced the new management tool – the Corporate Dash Boards. Each departments/divisions was then encouraged to review their own scorecards and prepared dash boards for year 2015. The respective departments/divisions managers then presented their output for information and critiquing of the body. The final output will be the road map for all departments/divisions for the year 2015.

With the activity, BUSECO is confident that the cooperative is properly guided, will be able to maintain its categorization as Triple A Electric Cooperative for year 2015 and will be able to realize its dream of becoming a World Class Organization in the near future.

Onwards and soar high BUSECO!
